
If you're adept at Photoshop... can you give me some suggestions on how to "tone down" the light on Jonathan's face in the edited picture? I only know how to work with the whole photo, not just parts of it.

I think you can isolate his face if you use rectangular marquee tool or the magnetic lasso. Those are how I isolate things.
You need to start by addding a curves ajustment layer and lightening up the picture and adding a bit of contrast to it. Then, use your brush (color=black) and erase out the parts of the picture that are too light. You can change the opacity of the brush to suit your likings. Hope that helps!
