I love ya, tomorrow

Tomorrow is another day of scrapping! I'm so excited to spend the day with good friends and (at least attempting) to let my creative juices flow. I've got a few pages that I *need* to do. I'd really like to have Jonathan's scrapbook as up to date as possible before his birthday party so I can have it sitting out for everyone to look at. So, I'll probably be working on pages for his *month* birthday pictures; so far I've done 1-4, so that leaves 6 left to do. Whoa, I don't remember the last time I actually got 6 pages done in one day. Oh well, I'll do what I can & work on the rest another time.

I had meant to mention a while back a layout that my friend Rebecca did of Jonathan from his first pool experience. You can see it here. I LOVE this layout. I think it just captures the moment so well, he looks so relaxed! I'm so grateful that Rebecca decided to give me the layout to put in Jonathan's book. I could never come up with something that adorable! Thanks, R!

The little man appears to be cutting at least one tooth right now. I can see the top left (not the middle left, but the one next to it, does that make sense?) one just about to pop through. I think the right one isn't too far behind. Poor thing, for some reason his top teeth are working him over worse than his bottom ones did. He had a bit of a temperature today and was a bit more fussy than usual. I was worried that he was getting sick again, but thankfully Lisa reminded me that sometimes they can run a slight fever when a tooth is coming in. And lo and behold when I looked I could see that one just ready to burst through. I hope it and the other one comes in quickly & don't bother him too much more.

Well, the bed is calling my name. I'd better get on in there since I have to get up early tomorrow. Until next time....

*insert witty title*... cause I can't think of anything

For some reason it feels like this week is just dragging by. All day Wednesday I kept thinking it was Friday, I wonder why that happens?

Maybe it was because I went out for a *girls night* on Tuesday for Rebecca's birthday, and we don't usually do that during the week. We went to a neat Mediterranean restaurant in Decatur called Cafe Lily and then to Ellen's (Rebecca's momma) house for dessert. A great time was had by all, and Rebecca got some great gifts. I'd have to say her favorite gift was from her momma, these great dishes. Aren't they awesome; they're so Rebecca!

For my birthday, Haley got me the soundtrack to the Broadway musical Miss Saigon. I had seen it for the first time years and years ago and completely fell in love with it; I cried like a baby at the end. It had been a long time since I'd heard the soundtrack, but I've been listening to it almost non-stop. I remember now why I loved it so much. The music is amazing, and the story is so heart wrenching. I've seen a few musicals, but I'd have to say this one is my favorite by far. A close second would have to be Les Miserables, which happens to be Chris' favorite.

Jonathan turned 10 months old on Sunday, he's in the double digits now! He's doing so many new things, it seems like every day he learns something new. He's learned to pull up to standing now, which he does ALL THE TIME! He'll play for a few minutes, then the next thing you know he's standing in the corner where the couch & love seat meet & he'll just stay there until you sit him back down. But it will only be a few minutes before he's back. Also, he said his first word!!! *No* Poor thing, I guess he hears that an awful lot now that he's mobile & into everything. I think he's finally grasping what it means though. It's pretty cute, sometimes, when he's trying to get into something & you tell him "no", he'll sit up, clap & say *no* while shaking his head. I think he can also say *uh-oh*, so his vocabulary is expanding!

Speaking of 10 months old, here's the picture. Isn't he just the sweetest thing ever?

Well, it seems like there was more I wanted to say, but now I can't remember what it was. So, I guess I'll just go to bed & try to get some sleep. I've not been sleeping too well lately, but hopefully that will remedy itself soon. Nighty night.

Hi, my name is Misti....

70%How Addicted to Blogging Are You?

I saw this on a new blog I've been reading, Everyday Life, and thought it was pretty funny. I can't say I'm too surprised by the outcome considering how much time I spend each night reading blogs; I'm just fascinated by the "inside look" into other peoples lives. It's a good way to be nosy without feeling guilty! And as Chris likes to point out, I'm definitely nosy. ;oP

Strike that...

Apparently it's not bronchitis, which is a good thing I suppose. According to the doctor I have acute sinusitis, but it's equally unpleasant. I'm just going to take it easy & not do too much, and hopefully I'll feel better in a couple of days.

Bronchitis sucks....

and that's all I have to say about that. ;o/

Weekend & stuff

It's August already? How did that happen?

We've had a really good weekend. Friday night Jonathan stayed with Chris' parents (again) and we went out on a "double date" with Kevin & Pam while Kevin's parents kept their kids. I can't even remember the last time we went out just the four of us. Sadly it was probably sometime before I got pregnant with Jonathan. We decided to go out for dinner at Fazoli's and then go bowling. We had a great time! Unfortunately a slight damper was put on the evening by a couple of groups next to us who didn't seem to know bowling etiquette. It was quite distracting when there's a big party next to you and they're all standing near the ball return & not paying attention to whose turn it is. Other than that we had a lot of fun though. I hope we can do it again soon!

Yesterday Chris and I had a "date day". First we did a little shopping at Archiver's, Barnes and Noble, Dick's Sporting Goods, and Gymboree. Then came the main reason for the wanted to go out, we went to see The Bourne Ultimatum. It was AWESOME! It was definitely my favorite in the series so far. I hope they'll make more, but I'm not sure what else could really happen. After the movie we went to Chris' parents house to pick up Jonathan & hung out over there for a little bit.

Today has been a pretty low key day. We forgot to set the alarm, so unfortunately we didn't get up in time to go to church anywhere. We went to lunch and headed to WalMart for groceries. The new version of Charlotte's Web came in the mail from Blockbuster this week, so we watched that. Or I should say *I* watched it and Chris went to the driving range. It was pretty good, but I have to say that I like the original version better. It's a classic in my opinion.

Before I go, here's a picture of the little man that I think I'll use as his 9 month picture. I never got around to doing a "photo shoot" this month; he's about to wiggly for that now. I can't believe he'll be 10 months old next week. In fact, I'm kind of in denial about it. 10 months old is only 2 months away from being a year old, and I'm certainly not ready for that. My baby's growing up before my eyes. Does anyone have a time machine?

If you do I'd like to borrow it... indefinitely.
