Nearly my entire family lives in one small town, Lebanon, Missouri. (I can't tell you how surprised I am that there's actually a website!) Lebanon isn't exactly a place that you go to for "vacation" as there isn't much to do. We did visit the Route 66 Museum which was fun; they had a lot of neat memorabilia.
On Friday we took a drive out to the Mennonite community and bought a ridiculous amount of baked goods from a store there. Seriously, you'd think we'd never seen baked goods before. Between me, my parents & my sister we bought chocolate chip cookies, peanut butter cookies, dinner rolls, jalapeno bread and at least 3 single serving pies. Everything was still warm from the oven and delicious! It would be a bad, bad thing to live so close to that store. After that we drove out to Bennett Spring State Park to visit the fish hatchery. It was pretty neat to see all of those fish & get the chance to feed them. They'd all but attack each other when you'd throw the food in.
The drive is about 12 hours, and this go round Chris decided to drive overnight so Jboy would sleep most of the way. He thought I would sleep most of the way as well, but I just couldn't. I was so worried that he was going to get sleepy & we'd have an accident. Needless to say we were both pretty worn out after the trip up & back. We're supposed to go back up for Thanksgiving and I think we've decided to make it a 2-day trip & stay at a hotel somewhere around halfway. Though, Chris' parents have offered to help pay for airline tickets if we'd like to fly so that's a consideration too. Hmmm, decisions, decisions.
Anyway, here are a few pics from our trip.
I love this one.
Doesn't he look like an explorer?
I don't know what I've gotten myself into, but I've decided that

Yes! Stop playing that negative tape in your head. Course that's easier said than done.
Love your pictures. You have such a great eye for composition. The feet is my favorite too.
